Above all, Be Cafe is a place to grow. Our coaches work side by side with our BEristas, teaching people skills, teamwork, and lessons that will serve them the rest of their lives. While our goal is preparing them for their next job, this is about more than career training. It turns out, our friends with intellectual disabilities have as much to teach us as we do them.

We’re more than a coffee shop.
Finding a job can be a struggle when you have an intellectual or developmental disability. It takes training, patience, and lots of hands-on support. It’s the reason we’re here. Our 12 Executive Functions curriculum helps every BEristas grow toward lasting, meaningful work—coaching them through conflict resolution, the importance of showing up on time and prepared, and all the skills that make a difference on the job and in life. While we serve great coffee, we will always be more than a coffee shop.
